Annual Report
We value transparency and are proud of our work. Check out what we’ve accomplished.
To realize our vision, Our Streets has mapped out these goals and supporting strategies.
Building a community-wide vision for highway alternatives.
We are hosting events that create community imagination, using data-driven and human-centered stories to drive change, advocating for safety improvements and mode shift along notoriously dangerous streets, and partnering with organizations locally and nationally.
Harnessing the power-building, collective vision, and culture shift of reconnecting communities through community-preferred street and highway alternatives.
Our two highway-to-boulevard conversion projects, Bring Back 6th and Twin Cities Boulevard, will restore and revitalize stretches of the Twin Cities where communities have been disconnected and disenfranchised. In partnership with USDOT and MnDOT, Our Streets will implement Bring Back 6th, fueled by our USDOT $1.6M Reconnecting Communities grant awarded in March 2024.
Building a people-first movement and proving the equitable impact of highway removal locally.
Our Streets will continue to influence transportation and infrastructure policy to spark system changes at statewide and national levels.
