After a concerted recruitment effort by Our Streets and Whittier Alliance to businesses on the planned Imagine Eat Street event route, we could not attain the required 75% approval signatures for the street closure from businesses. Some businesses expressed concern about ongoing construction in Whittier and Uptown blocking car traffic and causing parking headaches.
Unfortunately, that means we cannot host the Imagine Eat Street event as planned in 2024. We are very grateful to the businesses who pledged their approval and support of the event and regret that we are unable to host the event with you.
We are keeping the door open for a future Imagine event in the neighborhood. We hope you can join us at Imagine Cedarfest on September 8, 2024.
